Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Baldwin Consultations ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Quiet Care managed endpoint service.
Geographic scope. This service is intended for residents of the United States. If you access or use the service from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws, including data protection regulations such as the GDPR or UK GDPR.
Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your name and email address, provided when you subscribe.
- Payment information — billing details collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information on our systems.
- Device information — serial number, hostname, operating system, and basic hardware inventory reported by the management agent installed on your device.
- Enrollment data — an enrollment code derived from your email address, used to link your subscription to your enrolled devices.
- Network information — basic IP address and connection metadata collected incidentally during normal service operation.
- Script and event logs — output logs and basic system event information generated during automated management tasks run on your device.
How we use your information
All information collected is used solely to provide and maintain the Quiet Care service:
- To enroll and manage your devices
- To verify your active subscription status
- To process billing and send transactional emails
- To diagnose and resolve issues with your devices when requested
We do not sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third party for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Service. The only third parties who receive any data are the service providers listed below, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Service. Both are enterprise-grade platforms with rigorous independent security certifications — your data is handled with the same level of care that large organizations demand.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 (the highest level of payment security certification), holds SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 reports, and is certified under ISO 27001 and ISO 27018. Your payment card data is handled entirely within Stripe's infrastructure and is never transmitted to or stored on our systems.
- Action1 — remote monitoring and management platform. Action1 holds SOC 2 Type II certification and is built to meet enterprise IT compliance requirements. All agent communication is encrypted in transit. Action1's infrastructure is hosted on major cloud providers with independent security audits.
No other third parties receive your data.
Remote access
The management agent installed on your device is capable of remote access functionality on Windows devices. We do not access your device remotely unless you explicitly request assistance. Remote sessions are initiated only with your knowledge.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information from our systems within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted communications and restricted access to management systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
